The game was played at an intensive pace from the kick off with both teams playing some great attacking football.
Ireland were unlucky not to take the lead early on when two of their efforts came back of the crossbar, the first a 30 yard thunderbolt from Killian Sheridan and the second a corner kick by Garry Breen (great name) that almost dipped in, before left winger Donal McDermott deservedly put them in front with a 23rd minute strike.
Denmark put on a gifted attacking display as they pushed for an equaliser and were rewarded in the 61st minute when their playmaker Kristensen pulled them level.
Ireland responded instantly and substitute Terry Dixon put them back in front in the 67th minute and added a third in the 79th to be put them through to the final where they will play England who finished top of their group when they beat Sweden 2-1 in their final group game.
The final of the Nordic Championship is this Sunday 7th August at the Laugardalsvollur Stadium Reykjavik at 15.00hrs.
