The Football Association of Ireland and The Irish Football Association have both made the decision together with Setanta and the clubs to postpone the draw indefinitely. It is another major blow for the station who have already lost Premier League rights for net season and have been unable to pay the SPL for last seasons T.V. coverage.

"This draw has been postponed at the request of Setanta Sports to give the company an opportunity to gain clarity around a number of market related issues it currently faces.
"In the interim, a meeting has been arranged with participating clubs in Dublin on the afternoon of June 25th."
