Setanta Cup Saved

The Setanta Sports Cup committee and the participating clubs said the draw which will take place at Abbotstown on Tuesday 28th of July. The first round of games are scheduled for the week-end of August 29th /30th. The competition was in trouble when Setantas UK branch went into administration last month. The Irish side to the TV station seems to be in better shape.

Setanta's CEO Niall Cogley said on www.fai.ie

This all island competition represents our continuing commitment to domestic sport in Ireland alongside the big ticket international sport that Setanta also covers. I'm sure that this year's Setanta Sports Cup will be as good as any we have had,"
