RTÉ Television has confirmed live coverage of Cork City's first Champions League qualifier next Wednesday, 12 July, when they take on Cypriot champions Apollon Limassol at Turner's Cross.

The show will be presented by Con Murphy with ex-City midfielder Dave Barry, coverage begins at 7.25pm on RTÉ TWO.

Commentary is provided by Ger Canning and former City striker Pat Morley.

Speaking today, RTÉ TV Head of Sport, Glen Killane, said: 'Following on from RTÉ Television's comprehensive and unrivalled coverage of the World Cup, we are delighted to be screening this Champions League qualifier featuring the eircom League champions.

'This match is in addition to RTÉ Television's extended coverage of the Champions League this coming season which includes broadcasting two live matches a week to the widest possible audience in Ireland on a free-to-air basis.'

The group stage and knockout phase matches will also be streamed live on the RTÉ website.
