Bohemians strolled ahead in their quest for the title to beat Vray Wanderers 3-1. Bray went ahead through Chris Shields on the half hour mark. Bohemians replied just before half-time when Graham Deegan scored after a superb ball from on loan Celtic player Graham Carey. After the break the Gypsies scored through a Jason Byrne penalty and a Killian Brennan toe poke to end the contest.

Derry City suffered a blow to their bid for the title as they lost 1-0 away to Dundalk. The only goal of the game come in the 38th minute when new Ayr United signing Alex Williams pushed the ball of the post for a dream debut goal.

Shamrock Rovers closed the gap on Derry City as they beat St Patricks Athletic 2-1 in Inchicore to rest in third place. Gary Twigg scored yet more goals for the Hoops as he netted both goals to send Pats home unhappy at another loss.

Cork had an up and down week as they played 2 matches. They beat Galway 2-0 away in Terryland Park when Guntars Silagailis pounced in the 36th minute. Faz Kudozovic scored the second to condem Galway to another defeat. Cork suffered a setback as they played an extra game in midweek at home to St Patricks Athletic. They lost to a Ryan Guy goal in the closing moments.

Sligo and Drogheda played out a fantastic 2-2 draw as Shane Barret netted twice. Drogheda took the lead on 15 minutes but went behind to goals from Raffaele Cretaro and Conor O'Grady. Barrett provided an equaliser for both sides to share the spoils
