Current League Champions Bohemians played Derry City in Dalymount park on Sunday and came away with the points. In a tense affair the Gypsies scored the only goal of the game through Jason Byrne in the 19th minute. The result leaves Derry 10 points adrift of Bohemians and the end of their title thoughts.

Shamrock Rovers are still hanging onto Bohemians coat tails as they recorded their 4th win on the trot. Dessie Baker was the star of the show as he set up 2 goals with sublime passes. Tadhg Purcell opened the scoring with a low shot and Aiden Price added a second before half-time. Dessie Baker found Stephen Rice in the box with a super pass to end the contest. Sligo did reply in the 62nd minute, but Holmes deflected effort was only a consolation. The result leaves Rover in 2nd spot and five points behind Bohemians.

Bray recorded a good away win in United Park against Drogheda. Ian Ryan netted an own goal after he headed past his own keeper Paul Skinner. This started the ball rolling for Bray in the 12th minute, and Gary McCabe added a stunning second in the 22 minute. He picked up the ball from 30 yards and powered the ball into the net to leave Skinner helpless. The Drogs did find a consolation in the 38th minute when Shane Barrett put away his his 3rd goal in four games from the spot.

Dundalk overcame a weak Galway United side to take three points and three goals. Mickey Collins scored a brace scoring in the 30th and 71st minute with two headers. Alex Williams scored in between Collins goals to make it a crushing victory for the Louthmen.
