Trio of injury doubts for Collins' Cup final challenge

Speaking on RTE's Saturday Sport programme this afternoon, Collins relayed information on the trio as his squad trained following last night's 4-2 league defeat at the hands of Bohemians at Richmond Park.

'Keith (burst) some blood vessels in his foot on Friday night - someone stood on the top of his foot and when he took his boot off, it was twice the size as it normally was,' explained the Pat's supremo, 'he's a doubt, he's on crutches at the moment.'

'Charles' situation was unbelieveable. Still there's no clarification on what his problem was. He collapsed in front of us after a challenge against Bohs and started to vomit quite violently and he past out slightly for a few seconds. He's been in hospital for observation and tests, but we won't know until Monday what exactly he has.'

'It's his birthday today,' added Collins, 'so some of the lads went down to James' hospital with a cake and some pressies but we can just hope now he can get right for the Cup final.'

'It's the same for Karim - he had a nasty fall over one of the Bohs' players and went over on his neck and injured his ankle slightly. We'll have to wait and see with him as well, but it's worrying because it's the whole left side of the first team which are doubtful now.'
