Shelbourne Pull Out Of Setanta Cup

The league champions are in dire financial straits and have lost most of their league winning squad during the close-season.

Shelbourne would have struggled to field a squad for the start of the Setanta Cup next month, however the revenue that the competiton would have provided will now be sorely missed.

The FAI have confirmed that St Patrick's Athletic will take Shels place in the Setanta Cup after they finished as runners-up in the FAI Cup.
