Richardson back at Leesiders for 2nd spell

Cork City FC is delighted to confirm the appointment of Damien Richardson as our new Footballing Manager. It is Damien’s second spell at the club and he is relishing the challenge the lies ahead with his priority to bring silverware back to Leeside.

Damien has signed a two year contract and takes charge of all footballing affairs with immediate effect. The deal to bring Damien to
Cork
was finally hammered out yesterday evening with the Chairman at the Rochestown Hotel.

Damien met privately with the players and the backroom staff where he outlined his vision for the future of the club and stated his priorities for taking the club onto the next stage.

The new manager will be in
Cork on Sunday morning to take his first training session with the players and will be unveiled to the Cork public on Monday night at the game against Waterford United.



The club would like to thank all the supporters and sponsors for their patience and understanding over the last seven days, it has been a difficult period at the club but now with the appointment of Damien we look forward to what we hope will be a very successful year both on and off the field.
