The 21-year-old (pictured left), who is currently completing preparations with Ireland's Under 21s for Friday's European Championship qualifier in Troyes, took his season's goal tally to 17 when netting twice in Waterford United's 2-1 victory over Drogheda at United Park last month.

The second of which took the youngster's league tally to 10 goals, which currently sees him joint-third with Drogheda's Declan O'Brien in the Premier Division goalscoring standings. Shelbourne's Jason Byrne leads the way with an impressive 21 in 27 games.

Murphy has also garnered seven Cup goals this term, leading the Blues to their first FAIreland Carlsberg Cup final in eighteen years. Waterford take on holders Longford Town in the Lansdowne Road decider on October 24th.
