Longford dump Cork City out of the FAI Cup

Last updated : 27 May 2006 By Gerry Ormonde

The introduction of Dave Mooney for Andy Myler midway through the second half added some much needed spice to the home attack.

However, it was Cork, through John O'Flynn, who grabbed a lead goal somewhat against the run of play in the 75th minute.

But this game was to take another twist before the finish.

First Dessie Baker converted from the spot to bring Longford level just seven minutes from time and defender Danny O'Connor ensured Longford's passage to the last sixteen with a splendid winner in the last minute.
