Elsewhere second-placed Dublin City lost 1-0 at Limerick's Pike Rovers ground meaning Bray are just two points behind the Vikings, back in third.

Against the run of play Harps took the lead against Bray, as a ninth minute Kevin McHugh cross was spilled by Bray keeper John Walsh for midfielder Paddy McGrenaghan to tap home from ten yards.

Pat Devlin's home side grabbed an equaliser on the half hour when Eddie Gormley's free kick caused chaos in the Harps' defence and Graham O'Hanlon pounced to slot home from the edge of the six yard box.

Bray took a 2-1 lead into the second half as midfielder Paul Forsyth finished Keith Long's low cross to the Harps' net on 43 minutes. And seven minutes into the second period Bray all but secured the points when midfielder Gormley picked out Forsyth on the left wing and his looping cross found striker Stephen Fox unmarked, and he placed the ball beyond the reach of Harps' stopper Gary Ramsey.
