Eircom Premier League Results

Drogheda United went 8 points clear at the top of the Eircom Premier Division by virtue of a two nil win over their nearest rival St Patricks Athletic.

Cork lost more ground in the hunt for a European place as Bohemians beat them 2-1 in Dalymount Park. Shamrock Rovers continued their rise with a fine 2 nil win over Waterford away in the RSC ground. Andy Myler scored a brace.

Derry continued their improvement with a 3-1 win over Longford Town with transfer target Kevin McHugh on the scoresheet. Several Scottish and English clubs are looking at the Derry player. UCD and Galway played out a 2 all draw while Sligo tore Bray apart with a 3-0 WIN.
