Unlucky Maguire scored own goal
Chris Armstrong's first goal for Saints after 35 minutes looked to be enough to bring an end to Derry City's 13-game unbeaten run.

Following a poor kick-out by Barry Ryan, Darragh Maguire found Robbie Doyle on the left whose diagonal pass picked out Ian Maher who passed to Armstrong to convert from 15 yards.

But Pat's were denied a win four minutes from time when Maguire, in a desperate attempt to stop Barry Molloy's pass reaching the unmarked Farren, turned the ball into his own net and it could have got worse for Pats as Derry almost snatched a dramatic victory when Stephen O'Flynn's powerful header was tipped onto the bar by Ryan.
