LATEST:

Dalymount Park - Bohemians have hit the St Pat's woodwork twice inside the first 28 minutes through midfielder Kevin Hunt. From an early Fergal Harkin set piece headed out by Darragh Maguire, Hunt controlled and hit a strong shot off Chris Adamson's bar with the goalkeeper completely stranded.

Pat's took their time to settle with their first corner after 21 minutes. Out of nothing, Hunt let rip from 35 yards just before the half hour mark and his dipping shot struck the Pat's upright.

Just before the break, Fergal Harkin played in Glen Crowe past the last Pat's defender on 45 minutes and with Chris Adamson rushing towards the Irish itnernational, he fed a pass to Robbie Doyle who looked likely to score but heard the crowd gasp as the young striker lost his footing.

Pat's took a surprise lead as Bohemians' defence seemed to have fallen asleep after just six-and-a-half minutes of the second half as Dave Freeman hit a low shot from a Jamie Harris cross for a 1-0 lead and his fourth league goal of the season.

Glen Crowe levelled matters at one-apiece before sixty seconds later, Charles Mbabzi Livingstone initiated an attack down the elft hand side that eventually came for Jamie Harris and the striker, in for top scorer Tony Bird, made no mistake from 15 yards. Bohemians are down 2-1

Turner's Cross - The league's top scorer John O'Flynn got Cork off to the perfect start in their first half against Drogheda United. The Irish under 21 international went close after eight minutes as United keeper Gary Rodgers saved to his left.

Andy Myler went inches wide on 15 minutes before O'Flynn opened the scoring. A George O'Callaghan free kick from his own half was arched into the direction of O'Flynn and the 21-year-old striker turned and curled his shot from the edge of the area past Rodgers at the Shed End.

Cork went 2-0 up ten minutes later when another George O'Callaghan set piece found defender Dan Murray and he made no mistake with a powerful header.

Cork scored their third and fourth goals in the 75th and 76th minutes. O'Flynn grabbed his second of the game and his fourteenth of the season when cutting in from the right touchline and flashing a powerful shot into the roof of the Drogheda net. And sixty seconds later susbtitute Conor O'Grady was played in by George O'Calllaghan for Cork's fourth.

RSC - Half-time has come at the RSC in a very physical eircom League Premier Division tie.
Goal chances have been at a premium with Waterford slightly on top. Winger Alan O'Reilly has had a busy first half threatening a new look three man Derry defence. O'Reilly was involved with a scuffle at the midpoint of the half as robust tackles from Eamon Doherty and O'Reilly saw both sets of players at the point of exchanging blows.
Derry have had no chances of note with the game held up inside the first quarter with an injury to Waterford's David Mulcahy. Liam Coyle was well shackled in the first half and was substituted at half time with Gary Beckett coming on. The attendance has been confirmed at just over three thousand.

Derry had an early chance just outside the area with a Gary Beckett free kick but a concerted spell of pressure from the Brandywell side amounted to nothing. Two minutes into his debut, on 66 minutes, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Neale Fenn, 26, laid back a crisp pass for the advancing Mark Clifford to whallop home past Gough for the lead goal.

In the 73rd minute however Derry striker Michael Holt scored his second goal in two games with a wonderful turn and shot past three defenders and keeper Dan O'Connor from the edge of the Waterford area. Alan Gough reacted well to save from Vinny Sullivan thereafter as both sides seemed to settle for a point.

Belfield Park - Referee Damien Hancock blew for thirty free kicks in the first half as UCD and Longford have disappointed in the first 45.

Eric Lavine saw his free header go wide on 31 minutes as Shane Barrett also went close for Town with an acutely angled shot going straight across the UCD goal line.

Returning from suspension, Darragh Sheridan put Town in front from a Shane Barret cross on 32 minutes.

UCD have Austin O'Neill deputising in goal. Robbie Griffin was put through for UCD but hit a tame shot at Longford keeper Stephen O'Brien.

Shane Barrett netted for Longford after just two minutes of the second half as he was found from a long ball from the Town defence and slotted home low from the right side of the UCD penalty area past Austin O'Neill. With two minutes remaining striker Sean Francis flashed a volley beyond former Dublin City stopper O'Neill to guarantee Longford's win and move them to fourth.3-0 Longford.

LATE TEAM NEWS:

Bohs are missing Colin Hawkins and Ken Oman at the back, but Thomas Heary returns to the side. The Gypsies' midfield contains Stephen Caffrey alongside Kevin Hunt and Fergal Harkin and Bobby Ryan on the wings...

Pat's are without top scorer Tony Bird due to a neck injury. Jamie Harris comes into the attack and Pat's have been given a boost with the recovery of Paul Osam and Charles Mbabzi Livingstone to be included in the starting eleven. Davy Byrne is fit enough to take a place on the bench.

Derry City have started with a much changed line-up perhaps with next Thursday's UEFA Cup fixture with APOEL Nicosia in mind, as Gary Beckett takes his place on the bench and defender Mark McChrystal out of the squad completely.

New signings Molyneaux and Simms are starting in a three man back division alongside Eddie McCallion. The wing backs are Paddy McLaughlin and Sean Hargan. Derry's midfield trio line up as Peter Hutton, Ciaran Martyn and Eamonn Doherty. Up front there's a starting place for veteran Laim Coyle with recent signing Michael Holt.

Jimmy McGeough's home side include former Spur Neale Feen in their squad.

UCD's regular keeper Pat Jennings has suffered from an arm injury prior to the kick-off of tonight's visit of Longford to Belfield. Former Dublin City reserve stopper Austin O'Neill deputises in goal for him.

Mick O'Donnell returns from suspension and that is the only change made by Paul Doolin from the outfield line up that lost to Drogheda in the Carlsberg Cup last week.

At Turner's Cross, former Bohemians' defender Derek Coughlan has started for Pat Dolan's men against Drogheda United who have kept the same elven which beat UCD 2-0 last week.
