The all action first half had goals aplenty and it was Bray who took the lead with Eamon Zayed’s 11th goal of the season. The lead was short-lived however, as strikes from Will McDonagh and Cathal O'Connor put Rovers 2-1 in front before the half hour mark only for Andrei Georgescu to pull Bray level again moments later.
It is was Sheridan who proved to be Rovers unlikely hero. The 30yr old had been out of the game for two years but answered Rovers' crisis call to strike the winner midway through the second half to give all three precious points to the Hoops.
