Bohemians were on top in the opening stages and took the lead in the 22^nd minute when Gareth Farrelly scored with an outstanding 25-yard curler that gave goalkeeper Gavin Cullen no chance.

Two minutes later, it was 2-0 when Aidan O Keeffe burst down the left before drilling in a shot that beat Cullen at his near post.

But Kevin McHugh bundled home a goal for Finn Harps from Conor Gethins right wing cross in the 66^th minute to give Finn Harps some hope.

Bohemians pushed on and made it 3-1 in the 75^th minute when Stephen Ward headed home after Cullen failed to hold his shot.

The Gypsies were then reduced to ten men in the 88^th minute when Mark O Brien was sent off for two bookings.
