St Pats were the better side in the first half but failed to take any of their chances with Glen Larsen header in the 15th minute after Matt Gregg had failed to hold a Ger Rowe shot while Gregg was forced to turn a Larsen shot onto the post in the 35th minute.

But the visitors did take the lead in the 52nd minute when Michael Foley rifled home a penalty after James Keddy was adjudged to have taken down Larsen in the box.

Bohemians fought back and Tony Grant levelled the scores in the 68th minute from the penalty spot after Sean O’Connor had been dismissed for hauling down Stephen Rice as he attempted to finish off Fergal Harkin’s cross.
