There have been chances a plenty in the first half of the first game of the 2003 Dublin Tournament at Tolka Park this afternoon.

Shelbourne midfielder Wes Hoolahan has impressed early on and had a chance to open the scoring on 23 minutes but blazed his shot wide of the St Pat's area.

St Pat's striker Paul Rose has gone close on two occasions with his second attempt on 11 minutes from a sweeping through ball by Brazilian Luiz Sacilotto, saved by Shels' keeper Chris Bennion.

A smart pass from Aidan O’Keefe unlocked the Shels’ defence on 36 minutes but French trialist Pierre De Block's shot failed to trouble Bennion in the Shels’ goal.
