Rovers stadium to be completed
It is believed that the stadium will cost EUR8 million to complete and will take nine months.

Upon completion, the Council will own the stadium and it will be open for all but Rovers will be given preferential use.

Planning permission was granted to Shamrock Rovers in January, 1998, and after an initial period of construction the building ground to a halt. In October, 2004 the club applied for a year to complete the stadium, but it was rejected. The Council repossessed the lands and decided to finish the stadium on the club's behalf.
