Proud manager Damien Richardson
It was a night of tremendous passion and pride, generated by a 7,000 sell-out crowd at Turners Cross.

Cork went into this second qualifying round, second leg tie, with a valuable away goal scored by Neale Fenn in the drawn first-leg in Sweden two weeks ago.

City were superb throughout the 94 minutes played. They were excellent in defence, despite losing Alan Bennett, and hardworking throughout the field on an evening when everybody involved was proud to be Irish.

The home side almost won the match when a shot from Neale Fenn on 75 minutes produced a tremendous full-length diving save from Gambian international goalkeeper Tourray.

Damien Richardson's heroes now look forward to the draw for the first round proper tomorrow in Monaco, with the winners going through to the lucrative group stages of the competition.
