Premier Division Results And Table

Bohs and Derry Slug it out
Bohemians scored two goals in the second half against hapless Sligo. Gary Deegan opened the scoring for Bohs in the 52nd minute while Jason Byrne added the second clincher from the penalty spot for his 14th goal of the season.

Derry got of to a flyer at the Brandywell, with Kevin Deery's in the fourth minute strike making it comfortable for the homer side. Mark Farren scored a second to lead 2-0 at half-time. The Candystripes are now one point behind Bohemians and the clubs face each other in threee weeks time.

Cork City who have financial off field problems lost to Dundalk at home after going down to ten men. Chris Turner's scored a 35th minute penalty gave the Dundalk the lead. Shane Duggan got himself sent off before half-time, and Dundalks Michael Daly scored a second. Denis Behan did score for Cork in the 81st minute but it was too late for the Rebels.

Shamrock Rovers won at home against Galway through a Desie Baker goal to move the hoops to third. A Shane Barrett on the half hour sealed victory for Drogheda United over St Pats and moved the Louth side of the table for the first time this season.
