Bohemians 2-0 Shelbourne
Bray Wanderers 0-0 Sporting Fingal
Derry City 1-0 UCD
Drogheda United 0-1 Monaghan United
Dundalk 1-3 Celtic
Sligo Rovers 2-0 Finn Harps

Munster Senior Cup - quarter-finals

Cork City 1-2 Pike Rovers
Waterford United 2-0 Douglas Hall

Dundalk played a 3-1 defeat to a Celtic XI at Oriel Park on Friday night. This will be Dundalks first season in the top flight for 7 years. Bohemians hosted old rivals Shelbourne with Neale Fenn scoring for the Gypsies. Graham Carey who only just joined Bohs from Glasgow Celtic and is on loan for four months made an dream start to his Bohs career. He came on as a subsitiute and netted a fine goal against Shelbourne.

Sligo Rovers won their game against Finn Harps with two penalties from Sean Doherty to win 2-0. Derry City scored a late winner to see off UCD in the Brandywell with Molloy bagging a goal. Drogheda Uniteds misery continued, as they haven't scored for 3 successive friendlies. Monaghan United won 1-0 at United Park.

Paul Doolin picked a weak Cork City side at Bishopstown, but lost their Munster Senior Cup game 2-1.Cork City have been winners of the Munster Senior Cup for a record 10 out of the last 12 competitions were knocked out by Limerick junior side Pike Rovers.

Waterford United scored twice to enter the semi-final stage of the Munster Senior Cup. John Kearney and Joe Mulcahy grabbed the goals to defeat Douglas Hall.
