Dundalk Joy

Written by Paul Jennings
Monday, 6th April 2009
Sligo blues
Sligo Rovers played Dundalk at home in the showgrounds on Saturday night. Rovers couldn't have imagined welcoming back Darren Mansaram, Chris Turner and Liam Burns would result in all three scoring against them and Dundalk with their second win this season.

Mansaram scored before half-time with a nice finish and Liam Burns got his head onto a cross from Singh midway through the second half. Raff Cretaro's goal after 76 minutes was only a consolation for Rovers.

Sligo Rovers: Brush, Boco, Peers, Keane (Torpey, 82), Holmes, Morrison, O'Grady, Ryan, Doherty (Almeida, 61), Cretaro, Feeney (McTiernan, 68).

Dundalk: Bennion, Simon Kelly, Burns, Heary (Shaun Kelly, 24), Rogers, Mulvenna (Mackle, 68), Daly, Turner, Singh, O'Callaghan, Mansaram.
