Sean McCaffrey’s side got off to the perfect start with two great goals inside the first fifteen minutes from Tom Lyons and Donal McDermott.

Norway pulled one back through Hoiland but Belvedere's Killian Sheridan marked his debut when he headed in the third. Hoiland pulled another one back for Norway but that was the end of the scoring and the game finished 3-2.

Next up for Ireland is Iceland who were beaten 4-0 by Denmark in their first match.
