Sept 5th - Ireland U21s v Russia U21s, TBA
Sept 6th - Ireland v Russia, Euro 2004 QGroup 10, Lansdowne Road
Smith was appointed in February for the World Youth Championships in the United Arab Emirates, originally scheduled for March, but following the competition's postponement due to the political situation in the Middle East, it gave Smith more time to prepare. The current squad contains no less than six Man City players.
