Southampton's Rory Delap and Cardiff's Graham Kavanagh has also been included. Kerr announced his squad shortly after 2pm this afternoon, November 7, and both Miller and Reid have warranted their chance at international level following fruitful seasons so far at club and U21 level.
Both players were part of Brian Kerr’s underage sides of the mid to late-nineties and become the latest players from those teams to earn call-ups to the senior squad.
Southampton midfielder Rory Delap has also earned a recall to the Irish set-up. He missed out on a possible inclusion in Brian Kerr's first XI against Scotland, having been called up last February, but he had to return to his home due to family reasons.
Having won just nine caps since making his debut in 1998, Delap can hope to stake a claim for inclusion in Kerr's squad for the next qualifying tournament - the 2006 World Cup campaign beginning in September.
Cardiff City’s Graham Kavanagh is also included in the squad once more. Skipper Kenny Cunningham (Birmingham City) returns to the set-up, having missed the Switzerland clash due to suspension.
