Trap lands in Baile Atha Cliath

Giovanni Trapattoni arrived in Dublin yesterday (Tuesday 29th of April) in preparation for his unveiling to the media. He will be presented to the media at a press conference at the RDS on Thursday afternoon.

His 2 year contract starts on Thursday and he will be happy to get going on the job in hand. His first squad will go for a week-long training camp in Portugal in just over two weeks.

Trapattoni and his wife Paola were met by Football Association of Ireland President David Blood.

He will meet with several important FAI officials today (Wednesday) to discuss plans and he will obviously want to know how things are done over here.
