Giovanni Trapattoni said he was pleased with his first Irish game against Serbia. He thought his side were worthy of their draw which Andy Keogh rescued in the dying seconds of the game.
He said in the Sunday Independent
"I think we saw a good match. For me in particular for the new players, I think we deserved that result, we did not deserve to lose."
"Serbia, they are quality. I know a lot of these players. Today was an important test. We have to bulid with our young players."
Following his over excited celebration Trap said
"Yes I was happy. Because we did not deserve to lose. It was a first game for me, for five players we need to build confidence."
