Austrian media reports feel that incoming Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni could lose his job at Red Bull Salzburg if they don't win their next game on Saturday. He suffered the worst defeat of his career at home to Rapid Vienna on Easter Sunday losing 7-0.
Red Bull who are the defending Austrian champions dropped to second spot with Rapid moving one point clear on top. This brought about an anti-Trapattoni reaction from the Salzburg support.
The former Juve and Italian boss could be sacked should his side not win from the weekend's must-win duel with Josko Fenster Ried.
Trapattoni will take up his hotseat with the Republic of Ireland on May 1st. New assistants Liam Brady and Marco Tardelli have been working for the FAI for a while now and have been scouring the English leagues for new up and coming players and others who play for the U-21's.
