Republic of Ireland assistant manager Marco Tardelli is set to take up his role as early as March the 1st. He is set to scout around looking at all Irish players and will have an extensive portfolio to give to new Irish boss Giovanni Trapattoni. Tardelli is a World Cup winner and an experienced coach will be able to tell Trapattoni what Irish players in the UK are like and look at some uncapped players. He will spend March and April running the rule over Irish players.
Trapattoni will take the reins of the Irish side after the Austrian season finishes at the end of April with his final game as boss of Red Bull Salzburg Liam Bradymay join the Irish management team and fitness coach Fausto Rossi will join Trapattoni who is also at Salzburg.
