ST.Pats and FAI to fundraise for Tsunami relief

As well as past and present Saints players, which could include such renowned Irish soccer stars as Paul McGrath and the recently retired Paul Osam, several members of the RTE soap Fair City will take part in the game.

The Merchants Quay side will consist of clients and staff of the charity, which works with homeless persons and drug users.

All proceeds of the match will go towards the GOAL Asian tsunami appeal.

Kick-off at Richmond Park is at 2pm.

Meanwhile:

A team made up of Football Association of Ireland Staff and Members of the Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland will take on an Oireachtas team in a charity game in aid of the Asian Relief Fund. The game will take place at the end of the month with the proceeds going to GOAL.

Celebrity players will participate and full details of the game will be announced next week.
