The four who flew out of Dublin to beat the transfer deadline were Kevin Kilbane, Jonathan Douglas Liam Miller and Graham Kavanagh. There was also speculation that centre-back Andy O'Brien would leave Portsmouth ahead of the transfer deadline.

They will re-join Stephen Staunton's Irish squad in Stuttgart as soon as possible after all transfer details have been finalised.

Kilbane is set to move from Everton to Wigan Athletic, Douglas is transferring from Blackburn Rovers to Leeds United and Kavanagh is to transfer from Wigan to Sunderland and Liam Miller looks set to move from Manchester United to join Kavanagh as Roy Keane's first signings.
