Russia will Attack

Russia Boss Dick Avocaat is said to be thinking of using Vladimir Bystrov on the right wing to get behind the Irish defence. Kevin kilbane is seen as a weakness in the Irish team and Bystrov who came on as a substitute against Slaovakia may get the nod in Dublin. Bystrov is considered to be very quick and will be a threat. Russia are without Spurs forward Roman Pavlyuchenko, but may still adopt their 4-3-3 attacking style.

Advocaat said in the Irish Examiner

"From now on every match will be a decisive battle for us," "We lost to Slovakia at home, now we have no other choice but to win in away matches. We should continue playing our style in the upcoming matches, controlling play and forcing our opponents to adjust to our style, not vice versa. That’s the key to success in the upcoming matches."
