Shamrock Rovers scores a vital away win in Terryland Park on Friday night. Ten men Galway resisted Rovers until Stephen Bradley scored a vital free kick in the 74th minute. The result leaves Rovers four points of the top, although Bohemians have a game in hand due to their Setanta Cup game.

Derry City scored scored an injury time winner to break Brays hearts through Gareth McGlynn. With a ball punted upfield from Derry goalkeeper Gerard Doherty McGlynn headed in from close range after a mistake by Bray Goalkeeper O'Conor.

St Patricks Athletic scored in the 81st minute against Drogheda from old boy Stuart Byrne. Byrne who left Drogheda under a cloud last season slid in after Williams had saved Mark Quigleys effort.
