Reid joins Tottenham...no really!

Andy Reid completed a deadline-day move to Tottenham. The portly winger had been linked to nearly half the teams in the Premiership over the last year and half but has finally secured a move.

Reid has long made public his desire to play in England's top flight and has got his wish.

Southampton had a bid accepted for the 22-year-old Dubliner but Harry Redknapp had admitted he was unlikely to join. One would presume that since Reid had spent so long looking for a move to the Premiership, he didn't want to risk going straight back down.

Reid joined in a joint £8 million deal which also say English U21 international, Michael Dawson, join Spurs.
