Three senior Irish footballers have vowed to quit the International set-up if the FAI don't move by Wednsday to have a manager in place. Damien Duff, Richard Dunne and Shay Given have all warned the FAI that if there is no progress made and a new manager is not in place they will all walk away from the Irish squad.
John Delaney told the daily Star
"I just want to get the best manager for Ireland. The time aspect of it is secondary to me to getting the right appointment.
"Our next competitive game is next September and there are countries whose managers are going to come to them in the summer. Whether that happens in our particular case I don't know."
