Recently appointed Irish scout Frank Stapelton says he's honoured to be back with the Irish squad but says its only a scouting role.
He said to the Evening Herald
"I will be covering the Irish players in the north-east, Mick Martin looks at the north-west, Don Givens has the midlands and Liam will cover the south, so we have it well covered."
Stapelton will be covering teams like Liverpool, Man City, Bolton and Wigan but will be looking at players in the CCC and league one and two in his area.
The 19 goal Irish scorer said
"I am enjoying working with Ireland and I hope I can be of assistance. I will look at the Irish players at clubs like Bolton and Man City, but Liam Brady and Trapattoni also want me to see how away players perform against those clubs."
