The 27-year-old Toulouse attacker, speaking at a press conference at Clairefontaine today, said: "The Irish team is a very good one. We viewed videos of them this morning and Damien Duff, on the left side, is a very important player for them.

"He gets the ball a lot and can causes many of the Irish attacks. We will have to be wary of him."

Moreira, who replaced the injured Barcelona midfielder in the squad, won the last of his two caps in a 5-0 friendly win over Egypt last year.

"In their last ten games, the Irish have only lost to Nigeria," added the former Lens favourite. "We will have to should great concentration but hopefully the French fans can help.

"The Stade de France will have a great atmosphere and I hope our fans can cheer us for ninety minutes. If we can score early, it will certainly ignite them."
