Kevin Doyle has topped off a fantastic first season in the Premiership by getting a nomination for the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Young Player of the Year award.
Doyle from Wexford has scored 10 league goals for Reading this term, is in an elite group of players short-listed for the award. The others include Manchester United pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney plus Arsenal midfielder Cesc,Spurs winger Aaron Lennon and Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Ronaldo and Fabregas are also in the are in the running for the senior award
along with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard and United veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs
