Liverpool are looking at Spurs striker Robbie Keane to bolster their attack next season. Reds boss Rafael Benitez has been an admirer of the Republic of Ireland goalscorer since he came to England and now looks to purchase him. The Tottenham board have slapped a £20 Million valuatiuon on their vice captain but that will not deter Liverpool.

Keane himself is a self confessed Liverpool fan since he was a kid and has said he will want to talk to Liverpool if and when they approach about a transfer. Peter Crouch is wanted by Spurs and Benitez will use the England striker as bait along with an £8 Million sweetener for Keanes services.

At nearly 28 this would be the Dubliners last chance at a very big move to a club that will compete for silverware each season and the chance to play in the Champions League. This along with the chance to play with players like Gerrard and Torres and also supporting Liverpool make the move likely. If Spurs are not interested in Crouch then Liverpool are willing to pay the £20 Millkion transfer fee.
