Robbie Keane netted Liverpools second goal in their 3-1 Champions League win over PSV Eindhoven last night. The Irishman had hid longest wait for a goal at any club but the finish was worth waiting for. Fernando Torres crossed from the right for Keane to meet the cross and guide it into the net. Keane was feeling the pressure after going 10 games without a goal but the Anfield crowd were always right behind the Irishman.

Keane said

"It's great to get the monkey of my back and stop people talking about it."

"This is the club I have supported since I was a boy and I've dreamed of scoring at Anfield."

His manager Rafael Benitez said

"I was pleased for Robbie. He has worked so hard for us that he deserved to score. Now he has got his first European goal for us, I hope he will now score his first Premier League goal.

"I know Robbie will score a lot more goals for us in the future, so this was just the first step for him."
