Owen Garavan continued the Irish scoring in the Coca Cola Championship netting Ipswich Towns equaliser against Southampton. The Tractor Boys then went ahead with another Irishman Alan Quinn scoring, but the Saints came back to equalise. Garvan is looking to make an impression in the hope he will get a run in the Senior Irish team this season.
Rory Delap has caused a stir in the media recently with his long throws for Stoke being highlighted. Delap who won his last Irish cap in 2004 feels there is more to his game than the throw ins.
He Said
"I don't get asked about football any more, just the throw-ins. It doesn't annoy me but when Match of the Day measure my throw, it's bound to attract attention."
