Sean St Ledger is likely to miss the World Cup qualifier in Cyprus on Saturday. He was taken off the pitch in Preston's Coca-Cola Championship match with Ipswich Town on Saturday with a suspected knee injury.
Preston boss Alan Irvine said on www.elevenaside.com
"He's got a bit of a problem on the outside of his knee. Whether it will keep him out of the Ireland squad or not I don't know."
Kevin Foley is injured, and Paul McShane and Steve Finnan are out with various injuries. With the squad short on defenders it's likely Darren O'Dea or Alex Bruce may get drafted into the squad. With this a must win game Trap will use Dunne and O'Shea in the centre back positions.
