Following Mark Hughes withdrawl of Stephen Reid yesterday another Irish casulty is Joey O'Brien. He is thought to be struggling with a hamstring injury which will sideline him for THe Welsh game and for 2-3 weeks. It is not clear if Givens will draft in new players to compensate for the loss of 2 players that would most likely have featured in this game.

Robbie Keane scored yet another goal for Spurs in the UEFA cup last night. Hapoel Tel-Aviv were the opponents but the Premieship side breezed past them in their own backyard. Keane had a few chances to add to his tally in what is personally a good season for the striker.

Republic of Ireland B manager Pat Devlin feels the game against Scotland at the end of the month offers players with no International experience a real chance of getting noticed. His 18 man party travel to Airdrie on November the 20th for the return match after both teams played a 0-0 draw in Dalymount last November.

He Said

"From our first 'B' international last November, there are eight players who featured that night who received full senior international caps in both Euro 2008 qualification and international friendlies.

"Moving forward, I think it is important that we continue working on extending the 'B' International schedule because at senior international level, sometimes you do not get the opportunity to blood young players, we now have that chance to give vital experience to these lads."
