Irelands back

Liam Brady and Marco Tardelli announced a 40 man squad to go to the Portugal training camp. The most notable addition is Manchester Citys exiled Corkman Stephen Ireland who has been brought back into the fold. This is his first time in the Irish squad since September and I'm sure he and the rest of the squad would like to concentrate on football matters now with a new manager arriving.

He then withdrew from the final squads from Stans reign against Germany and Cyprus and was left out of the Welsh game by Don Givens. The last we heard in relation the the City midfielder was for Don Givens to blast the young Corkman in an ill advised press conference. It looks now though that Brady and Tardelli have convinced him to rejoin the new era.
