Harte joined La Liga side Levante in the summer and is Ireland's only international playing outside of Britain or Ireland.

Harte claims that Brain Kerr didn't want him going to Spain and would have rathered he play in the English Championship.

The left-back who has scored nine goals, and holds over fifty caps, has even asked Chris Hughton, Ireland's assistant, to get Kerr to ring him but to no avail.

"It's a joke and disappointing that he can't pay me a bit of respect and give me a call."

Harte also revealed that Kerr refused to support his move to Spain when he left Leeds last summer.

He refuses to give up hope though and says that he'll be ready to pull on the green again when given the chance.
