Hunt wants more

Stephen Hunt has urged his Irish team mates to carry on from their two victories and qualify for the European championships.

The Irish team defeated Wales and Slovakia in their previous two games to give the players and fans alike hopes of qualification. Readings Hunt who came on as a substitute in those games and was exceptional sees no reason why they cannot make it.

He said "We have set our standards higher in previous years and that's why there have been complaints this year. You could say Germany are in the top four in the world, and the Czech Republic are above us in the world rankings, but they wouldn't be too much ahead of us."

"The recent wins have given us a chance of qualifying but the hard work starts here. We need to pick up six points against Slovakia and the Czech Republic to set up what could be a decider against Germany. Slovakia and the Czech Republic are good teams but they are not that great so there is no reason why we cannot go there and try to win."
