Hunt to miss the rest of the season

Republic of Ireland International Stephen Hunt will miss the rest of the season. Hull Citys top scorer has been struggling with a foot injury, and has not played for the Tigers since the 20th of February.

Hunt went to hospital on Monday and it was revealed he had more extensive damage to his foot than at first thought. Hull are 4 points adrift in their battle to avoid the drop, but face a major battle without their leading marksman.

'It's a big blow. Whenever you lose your top goalscorer it's going to be a blow.

'Stephen couldn't settle down and the pain returned. The surgeon had a look at it and decided to pin a little bone in there. It's disappointing for the lad. I spoke to him this morning and he is bitterly disappointed.'
