Kerr was waiting for Steve Finnan to report at their Portmarnock headquarters after he had remained behind at Anfield for treatment on an injury.
The bad news, however, was that Kevin Kilbane was the latest Irish player to go down with illness. He spent yesterday in bed recovering from a virus.
Andy O’Brien took part in his first training session since he recovered from a virus attack and he was predictably weak after the session. However he is expected to be fully recovered by Wednesday.
Matt Holland trained on his own to protect damaged ribs and again he is hopeful that all soreness will have disappeared before Kerr selects his team.
Damien Duff worked in the gym and that was hugely encouraging to the Irish camp. The Chelsea star sustained a strained knee which kept him out of training on Friday but now he has embarked upon his recovery programme the future looks much brighter.
The Squad will train again at Malahide FC at 11.30am on Sunday.
